This is the second pattern that i done for my surface pattern project. i really like this one especially as i think its a bit different. i achieved this shape and colour scheme by taking a shape out of a bit of mixed media work i done by using the pen tool in photoshop. i then kept copying and pasting the same shape so i could form the on top of eachother slightly to form a row and then i made it into a repeating pattern.
This is the final piece of my surface pattern project that we have been doing at college. we had to create two surface patterns for a cover of a magazine in the style of whichever we chose out of urban, hi tech, nature and confectionary. i chose urban and as soon as i chose it i was thinking of things that i link with urban. my initial thoughts are city things, things to do with city life, so i took the stereotypical brick wall and blended it in with a black background by using the overlay tool on photoshop. i also needed something on top of this asa repeating pattern so i took the outline of some buildings that a took pictures of and i think i have achieved what a set out to do.

here is a piece of work that i done for my typography project. we were each given a word to make a piece of creative typography for and mine was blade...instinctively i thought knives but instead i decided to look at the final outcome of what a blade deos like chop up food. obviously i have used photography for this one so all i had to do was cut up the fruit and veg on a chopping board and make the word blade...i like this one and have decided to put it on the blog as i think it is a bit different.
I done this free hand using sharpies and ink then i scanned it in photoshop and added the ink splats which i got inspiration from some of my previous pieces of work. i decided to stick with the original logo but i tampered with it a bit with the colours going behind it. I think the colour scheme works very well as oasis is brit pop so i stook with the british approach. the guitar was done using pen and wash technique but using coloured ink instead of just water although i did use water for the neck of the guitar.
A piece of photoshop work done during the opening week of college. i really like the colour scheme of it and the way the images blend in with eachother. i have used these kind of techniques in other work that i have produced.
one of the pieces of work that i completed at college using photoshop. i downloaded these brushes which were supplied by newcastle college and the phrase i took from one of my favourite songs by oasis. The slow drips fit well with the phrase.
